The Sherwood Hotel offers a private function room for special events, a large restaurant area, and a relaxed front bar. Our function space can accommodate up to 32 seated or 80 standing guests. We also provide free hire of the function space, and offer platters for your event. Pop in and check us out!

FUNCTUON ROOM FAQ's
HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE FUNCTION AREA HOLD?
Please feel free to come in any time to take a look and discuss your function options with our friendly staff. 32 seated | 80 cocktail (standing) in the Function room and 50 seated | 80 cocktail (standing) on the top verandah. If you have a larger function please see our bar tenders, we can cater to almost any size function.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
It's FREE! - we do take a holding deposit of $200 to book out the function room. This deposit is fully refundable on the day of the event. We have a 3-week cancellation policy. (If you book online there is a $5 per person pre-authorization only)
DO I NEED A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE?
Yes, to exclusively book the function room or top verandah is 25 people. (We have many different sections available and can cater for any sized function)
DO YOU HIRE OUT THE WHOLE VENUE?
We are happy to hire out specific spaces for your events, however, do not allow exclusive hire of the entire venue.
CAN I PLAY MY OWN MUSIC?
Yes, in our private function room you can bring your own playlist in and play via our auxiliary cable.
CAN I START A BAR TAB?
Yes, you can start a bar tab to any amount. We also have wristbands available to give to your guests.
DO YOU OFFER DRINK PACKAGES?
We are not offering any specific drink packages. However, when setting up a bar tab you can have a subsidised drink option - where your guests pay a portion and the remainder comes off your tab.
CAN I DECORATE THE FUNCTION AREA?
Feel free to decorate as you like. We only ask that you are mindful of the environment when doing so. (No glitter please)
CAN I BRING A CAKE OR FOOD?
Yes, you can bring a cake! But no other outside food can be brought in.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
No, there is no formal dress code.
CAN I BRING CHILDREN?
Yes, children are more than welcome. We have a kids play area, and kids menu options.
DO YOU OFFER ANY FUNCTION FOOD OPTIONS?
Yes, please see our function food menu. We require a minimum of two week's notice when ordering food for functions.
